Happily Ever Laughter: older man, quirky younger woman romance (HEA Book 3) Page 7

“So beautiful,” he murmurs, almost to himself. He switches to the other side, his tongue and hands exploring every inch of my skin, causing a deep ache in my lower belly.

He made me come so fast in the van yesterday that I wondered if it was a lucky first break. But by the time his lips slide down my mound and he spreads me open, I’m already panting, heated straight through, and I know I’m close to coming for him again already.

His large hands grip my hips to hold my squirming body still. My nipples turn to pebbles as his warm mouth meanders slowly all over my skin.

His hot breath against my inner thighs makes the back of my knees tighten and my teeth sink into my bottom lip.

The fingers of his right hand slowly drag down, all the way to my knee then slowly up my inner thigh. It’s almost ticklish, too much to take. As his tongue nudges against my little button over and over, I can barely breathe.

I whimper and Felix moans at the same time.

“Delicious,” he murmurs. “So sweet, my sweetheart.”

Feeling his finger slowly tease around my entrance, I can feel how absolutely soaked I am. He seems to love it. My head falls back, goosebumps rippling up and down my arms as I clasp the sides of his head.

“Pull me where you want me, baby. Please. Let me feel everything.”

Before I even know what is happening, my hips are moving of their own accord, grinding my clit against his hot tongue.

Feeling this close to him is unbelievable. He is so eager to bury himself into the most intimate area of my body, as if he needs this closeness as well.

As his finger slides inside me, his free hand skims up my side to lightly caress my breast, making us both moan. I can feel my inner muscles squeezing around his finger, as the hot prickling pressure grows more intense.

“So gorgeous, baby,” he murmurs against my sex. “Give it to me, please.”

As I look down, I’m lost in his sexy eyes. But it’s so much more than that. The way he’s playing my body like an instrument, with reverence, almost worship, I can tell this is not just about the sex.

Felix is falling for me as hard as I’m falling for him.

My spine arches as my entire body pulls inward, and all I can do is choke, “Yes…Felix…”

His fingers and tongue move faster, harder, helping the climax race through every inch of my body until I’m left shaking and breathless.

He slowly kisses all the way back up my body as I come back to Earth, meeting my lips so gently I could almost cry. “So beautiful,” he murmurs.

Before our kisses can become too frantic, he pulls away. After turning off the lights, he throws his pants on the chair before slipping into bed.

My hands land in the center of his chest, slowly moving down as I trace along the curves of muscle. When I get near the bottom of his stomach, he grabs my wrists before I can get anywhere near his shorts.

Flipping me over so that my back is pressed tightly to his chest, he wraps both of our arms around my stomach, rocking me for a moment until I giggle.

“Sweet dreams, my gorgeous girl,” he murmurs, kissing the shell of my ear.

I know I should fall asleep instantly. But he’s already taken care of me twice, yet not allowed me to touch him at all.

It isn’t a matter of keeping score, climax for climax. It’s that – I want to touch him. Be close to him. I need to make him shaky and breathless so that he knows how much I care about him.

  CHAPTER TWELVE

  ~ Felix ~

Holding Tanis close, I can’t get enough of the feeling of her skin against mine everywhere we touch.

Having her naked in my bed feels like winning a prize. A high honor. Something I’m not worthy of, but am so grateful for.

I’m so aroused I’m nearly feverish, but try to mentally force my erection to go away.

Tanis needs to feel safe and comfortable in my embrace. She doesn’t need to know that I haven’t had sex in so long that I can feel a few drops of pre-come leaking into my shorts just from the sound of her breathing so close to me.

Holding our hands against her stomach, I try to slow my breath as if I’m falling asleep, hoping that she follows suit. Her soft humming moan vibrates through both of us as she moves her hips, pressing back against me. Does she have any idea how her every touch is driving me wild?

She pulls her left hand out of my grip, reaching back to grab my hip so that she can rock against me. Oh yeah, she knows for sure.

“You’re killing me, baby,” I moan.

With a giggle, she spins in my arms to face me. “Then let me taste you.”

The temptation is almost too much to bear. “You have no idea how good that would feel, sweetheart,” I murmur against her cheek.

  “Then why not? What’s wrong?”

Although the truth is embarrassing, I certainly can’t let her think there’s anything wrong with this incredible connection that’s growing between us.

“It’s just that it’s been a long time since I’ve been with a woman, Tanis. You’re so beautiful, and I’m so…I’m wild about you already. I know I’d come in seconds and humiliate myself.”

I can feel her lips smiling against mine as I add, “Besides, how could I possibly stop kissing these incredible lips for even one second?”

Her hands explore my chest, my abs, and work their way down. This time I don’t have the strength to stop her. The feeling of her delicate hand wrapping around my steel hard shaft makes me groan out loud.

“I need to be kissing you when you come,” she whispers. “Please.”

I love how desperate she sounds. I can’t believe we have this effect on each other.

I sweep some hair from her eyes with my fingertips, and slip my palm down to caress her breast as I kiss her gently. I’ve never been touched so softly before, her warm little hand skimming up and down my length as I feel the tension brewing too fast already.

I already know that I’m falling in love with her. Feeling how hungry she is for me, and how much she wants to please me, makes me shudder straight to my bones.

“Sweetheart,” I breathe into her perfect lips, “you feel so good.”

Her thumb slips across the wet, swollen head of my cock, then just below where it’s extra sensitive. My body jerks in response.

“You’re so sexy, baby,” I growl into her mouth, before my tongue darts out to taste her. I’m rewarded with a soft moan as her body shifts.

If we were only dating, I’d be on top of her already, gliding my length between her legs. But I need Tanis to know how serious I am about her. Holding her close, she moves both hands down to grip my length lightly.

Before I know what I’m doing, I’m fucking her hands with my swollen cock at the same time that I’m fucking her mouth with my tongue. We’re enveloped by each other’s desire. I’ve never felt so ultimately greedy for a person before.

I can feel a strange possessive pull toward her. I need to know that she’s mine completely. Even though it’s too soon.

My cock swells even more, throbbing in her hands as Tanis gasps, “This is the sexiest thing I’ve ever felt.”

Clutching her body to mine, I growl as I spasm into her hand, coming hard all over my stomach while kissing her so harshly I hope I don’t bruise her lips.

“Tanis…baby…” I groan through gritted teeth. I feel her smile again through our never ending, very messy kiss.

Every nerve ending is a live wire as I finish twitching from head to toe, then grow still. When I find my breath, I kiss the tip of her nose. “Back in a second.”

Rushing to the washroom to clean up, I come back with a damp cloth and scrub her hands while she laughs.

Snuggling back into bed with her, I feel blissfully, completely drained.

“That was incredible,” I murmur, as she wiggles under my arm and places her head on the front of my shoulder.

“I think I like feeling you lose control,” she says, her voice becoming slow and soft.

  My hands skim
along her back and hip as I hold her pressed tightly against me. “I feel so much for you, sweetheart,” I whisper. “I don’t want to make you nervous, but when it’s time to tell you everything about how I feel about you, there are going to be words like ginormous, truckload, and gargantuan being thrown around.”

I adore her little giggle. “I was thinking the same thing, except for the use of the word gargantuan. I might use something more like monster-sized.”

Nodding, I scrape my cheek against her forehead to feel her little shaking laugh. “Although I agree, I don’t think the word monster is as sexy. No matter. We can fight about that when the time is right.”

Planting a kiss on those perfect lips, I add, “Except we’re never going to fight. We’re going to laugh all of our troubles away, aren’t we, baby?”

“Mmm hmm.” Her fingers are meandering around my shoulder, but they slow and finally grow still as her breathing becomes soft and even.

Feeling my new girlfriend fall asleep in my arms is one of the most heavenly sensations of my life.

It means she trusts me. She’s as into me as I am into her. We belong together.

And as long as I can keep her giggling, continue to encourage her creative expression, and don’t make a single mistake, everything is going to be absolutely smooth sailing.

  CHAPTER THIRTEEN

  ~ Tanis ~

Waking up snuggling into Felix’s side is a gentle, beautiful way to start the day. I can’t help thinking someday, if everything goes right, this could be how we start every morning.

Imagine it. Never being alone again, and having an incredible man like this at my side at all times. That thought is much too big to think about for now, so I push it back to the corner of my mind to wait a bit longer.

Eventually, the heat of the beam of sunlight warming the room, together with the pressure of my bladder, force me to slip out of his cozy embrace. I throw on my clothes and use the washroom, then go to the kitchen area to put on a pot of coffee.

I remember every step of Felix’s system, but adjust the amounts to make a full pot. I can’t tell if his roommates are home, but endearing myself to them at the very start couldn’t hurt.

As soon as I see the coffee is safely brewing, I pull out two mugs from the open cabinets.

“Hey, could you grab another for me?”

I turn around to see a muscular man in a black tank top and shorts, sliding onto the bench of the picnic table as he grins at me. “You must be Dan,” I say, holding out my hand.

“And I know you’re Tanis.” His bright brown eyes seem to be analyzing my face.

“I guess Felix must have mentioned me?” I ask, sitting at the table and quirking an eyebrow at him while the coffee bubbles and drips.

Dan rolls his eyes dramatically then holds up his hands. “Good grief. The first night you two met at Boho, I didn’t think he’d ever stop raving.”

His megawatt grin is magnetic. “The boy is smitten, Tanis. Totally smitten. Trust me, there are boatloads of smit going back and forth around here.”

I laugh, then jump up to pour the coffee. “How do you take it?”

  “Just black, thanks.”

After handing him a steaming mug, he says, “Thanks. You’ve already got his system down perfectly. I guess that means you’ll be staying around here a lot.”

My hand shakes slightly as I pour my own coffee. “I hope so, I guess.”

He laughs, and I realize I really do like him. His positive energy is infectious. “Well, I hope so too. You certainly seem to make Felix happy.” Before I can even think of a response to that, he asks, “Hey, before you sit down, could you take a look in the left cupboard and count the granola bars?”

I set my mug on the table, then find the box. “Three. Did you want one?”

“Nah,” he chuckles, blowing lightly against his mug. “Just wanted to make sure that Oliver is still alive. Sometimes he goes for days without eating, so we have to bang on the door and hand him some food.”

I sit down and take a sip, allowing the warm, rich taste to start to wake my brain up fully. “Is Oliver…um, does he need supervision?” I ask clumsily. Damn. I should have had more coffee before phrasing that question.

Dan shakes his head. “Oh no, not officially or anything. He just seriously loses all track of time, space, and reality when he’s into his work. When he really falls down the rabbit hole, we babysit him a little.”

  “That’s kind of you.”

He shrugs. “We all do our part. When he has writer’s block, he cleans the loft like a demon, and he’s an incredible cook.”

“I guess it all evens out then,” I smile at him.

“It takes a village to make our loft run, or...something like that,” he says. Then he tilts his head. “So, how are things going with you and Felix?”

Warmth rises to my cheeks as I quickly try to think of something to say that is both vague and honest. “Wonderful, I think. I hope. I guess. I don’t know.”

His head cocks to the side again as he studies me. “You haven’t had many relationships.”

Funny how it isn’t a question, simply a statement. His self assurance is unusual. I can’t help wishing that a tiny shred of it will rub off on me.

“You’re right,” I finally comment. “This is only my second, um, whatever.”

Dan smiles, clearly pleased that he called it. “I probably shouldn’t say this, but Felix hasn’t had a girlfriend in years. Hasn’t even shown any particular interest in a woman. Nobody else seems to notice, because he’s so friendly with everyone. But he hasn’t had that spark in a long, long time.”

His eyes meet mine as he adds, “I hope you’re in this for the long haul, Tanis, because I think he certainly is.”

I have to pull my teeth out of my lip as I nod. “Yeah. I am. But it hasn’t even been a week yet, so…”

“You’re nervous. Of course you are.” He takes a big swig of coffee then stands up. “It’s natural, so try not to worry about it. But I have a really good feeling about you two.”

  “Thanks.”

“No problem. Thanks for the coffee. Time to open the gym.”

He strolls back to his corner of the loft, as I fill another mug and bring it into Felix’s room.

The second I set both mugs on the desk, I hear him stir. “I already knew that you were the best girl in the world for me. But coffee in bed?”

That thick dark hair is rumpled, making him look even more adorable. He sits up and reaches out for the mug, making weird spaceship noises as I pass it into his hand.

“Whoa, you even help me be telekinetic. Thanks.”

He drinks half of it in three big gulps. “You’re hired. Stay with me every single night so I can wake up to your coffee and that gorgeous face.”

I slip into bed beside him, realizing that he is still naked.

He sets his coffee on the nightstand, then reaches for me, pulling me against his chest. “How do you feel about last night?” He rocks me gently.

I love how tender he is. How caring. How thoughtful.

  “Amazing.”

“Good. I want you to know that this relationship means a lot more to me than sex, baby.” I nod my chin against his chest, trying to get the courage to slide my hand down his rippled stomach.

I want to touch his skin. I want so much more. But I can’t help but wonder if it’s just a little too much too soon.

In the back of my mind, I can’t help feeling that all of this is going to disappear. So I either have to stop getting my hopes up, or make the most of every single minute while I can.

  The mental tug-of-war is exhausting.

“I need you to understand the two things this relationship is really built on,” Felix says seriously, as I tilt my head to study his handsome face, and nod for him to continue.

“One, I care about you so much already that I’m afraid to say it out loud, or make sense of any words associated with that whole business.”

  He pauses while I kis
s his cheek.

“What’s the other thing?” I whisper.

“We shouldn’t base this relationship on physical relations. Yet ,” he adds, while bouncing his eyebrows suggestively. “Instead, we’re going to base it on food, at least for the next hour or so. So if you’ll let me get up, I’ll make you breakfast.”

An hour later, I’m almost nervous about how incredible the sex is going to be if the food is this good. What kind of man just throws together strawberry mango oat milk smoothies, then whole wheat and flax flour banana blueberry pancakes?
